Legion Collegiate, Rock Hill girls are The Herald’s athlete of the week honorees

Legion Collegiate’s Briana Cook is The Herald’s athlete of the week from Feb. 6.

The 5-foot-11 senior scored 11 points and had 12 rebounds in a 45-35 win at Atlantic Collegiate Academy, Jan. 30.

Cook also scored two points, had five rebounds and four assists in a 51-31 loss to Rabun Gap Nacoochee, Feb. 1.

Cook is averaging 3.1 points, 7.1 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game for Legion Collegiate (7-12) this season.

Rock Hill’s Sarah Anderson-Wildy is The Herald’s athlete of the week from Jan. 30.

The 6-foot-2 senior scored two points, had six rebounds, three blocks and one steal in a 58-39 win over Clover, Jan. 23.

Anderson-Wildy also scored five points, grabbed seven rebounds, six blocks and two steals in a 50-44 victory at Spring Valley, Jan. 26.

Anderson-Wildy is averaging 3.1 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks for a Rock Hill team (19-3) that has won 13 games in a row this season.

Anderson-Wildy is also a standout in the classroom, boasting a 4.97 grade-point average.
