He want Bama.

Richard Young, the five-star Lehigh Senior High School running back, announced his plans to play at the University of Alabama on Friday night.

"For the next 3 to 4 years, I will be taking my talents and academics to the University of Alabama," Young said in an Instagram post. "Roll Tide!"

The decision ends all the speculation surrounding the 5-foot-11 playmaker, who had narrowed his top three schools to Alabama, Georgia and Oregon.

Long rated the No. 1 running back in the Class of 2023, Young has been highly sought after by just about every heavy hitter in college football. He even experienced visits by Nick Saban, Georgia's Kirby Smart, Ohio State's Ryan Day, Florida's Billy Napier and Clemson's Dabo Swinney in the span of 24 hours back in January.

Young ran for 1,755 yards with 20 total touchdowns last season with the Lightning, helping the team to a 7-3 record and a regional semifinal appearance.

As he heads into his final high school season, Young can run a little freer with this decision behind him — a scary prospect for the competition.
