Leighton Meester & Adam Brody Just Made a Rare Red Carpet Appearance

From Harper's BAZAAR

  • At Monday’s Ready or Not screening in Los Angeles, married couple Leighton Meester and Adam Brody made a rare red-carpet appearance together.

  • The last time the two hit the red carpet was in March, when they attended the Hollywood premiere of Shazam!

There’s nothing Hollywood loves more than a famous couple radiating on the red carpet. Who else would better embody this than the power duo that is Leighton Meester and Adam Brody?

While Brody looked dashing in a black suit and burgundy tie, Meester looked every bit as classy as her television counterpart—Gossip Girl’s Upper East Side queen, Blair Waldorf—in a floor-length satin floral-print dress from Michael Kors Collection, clinched at the waist with a tan skinny belt. She accessorized with champagne-tinted Jimmy Choo sandals and a Michael Kors box clutch.

All eyes were on the pair as they made their red-carpet rounds yesterday at a Los Angeles screening of Ready or Not. The piqued attention makes even more sense when you consider that the intensely private couple has not made a red-carpet appearance together since March, at the Hollywood premiere of Shazam!

Meester and Brody became the ultimate 2000s couple when they first started dating in 2013. Each made a name for themselves as aughties icons while starring in separate high school television dramas, with Meester as the aforementioned Blair Waldorf in Gossip Girl and Brody as Seth Cohen in The O.C. (In fact, Gossip Girl will be getting a Gen Z makeover with HBO’s planned reboot of the worshipped series.)

Although the two have been together for more than half a decade, they rarely make official public outings together. Their last public appearance (which didn’t involve a red carpet) was earlier this month, at the premiere event for Ode to Joy.
