A national leader in senior living has its eyes set on more than 300 acres of land in Leland.

Del Webb looks to soon bring 762 single-family senior homes to the Mallory Creek Plantation neighborhood in Leland. Del Webb is a self-described “pioneer in active adult communities and America’s leading builder of new homes designed for pre-retirement and retirees.”

According to plans submitted to Leland, the homes are planned for 304 acres of land off Mallory Creek Drive nearby Lillibridge and Merestone drives.

The newly constructed homes coming to Mallory Creek Del Webb will be flexible and can be personalized, according to Del Webb. Indoor and outdoor swimming pools, pickleball courts, a fitness center, a clubhouse and a dog park will be among the community’s amenities.

At its Wilmington community, located in the Riverlights neighborhood, Del Webb offers many of these same amenities to seniors in nearby New Hanover County.
