Lemings voted as athlete of the week

Mason Lemings, senior at Centreville High School, has been voted as the Sturgis Journal Athlete of the Week.

Lemings received the honor with 53.18 percent of the total votes cast on www.sturgisjournal.com for athlete of the week. He narrowly won the award over Colon's Reese Williams, who garnered 42.26 percent of the votes cast this week. Also up for athlete of the week honors were Korin Whitcomb of Sturgis and Angelo Hausmanis of Three Rivers.

Lemings averaged 16.5 points and 8.5 rebounds as Centreville won a pair of games last week. The Bulldogs are 7-1 so far this season and have won five straight games overall.
