Lemont Restaurants, Bars With Outdoor Seating: List

LEMONT, IL — On May 29, restaurants and bars in Illinois will be allowed to open outdoor seating areas for customers. Restaurants and bars have been closed since March 16 to dine-in customers, and many had to adapt or change operations completely so that they could continue to serve food via pick-up or carry-out services.

As the state of Illinois enters Phase 3 of the Restore Illinois plan on Friday, restaurants all over the state are adjusting once again as they prepare to open outdoor seating areas for customers.

In Lemont, Patch has compiled a list of the known restaurants or bars who are now offering outdoor seating. Please note that many restaurants which are not able to offer outdoor seating are still continuing pick-up services and carry-out for customers.

Here are the Lemont bars and restaurants which are opening outdoor seating areas (it may be best to call ahead as hours will vary at many of these locations as bars and restaurants make adjustments):

When he announced the allowance for outdoor seating, Gov. J.B. Pritzker encouraged local officials to shut down streets and "do whatever is in their power" to help these establishments. Employees will be required to wear masks while working, he said. Other guidelines for restaurants and bars are:

  • Wear face coverings in the presence of others

  • Maintain social distance, keep at least 6 feet between tables and no more than six people per party

  • Only outdoor drinking and dining allowed, which includes rooftops, patios and areas with removable walls

  • Wash hands for 20 seconds at least once every 30 minutes

  • Eliminate refilling customer beverages and keep self-service stations closed

  • Clean and disinfect common areas and frequently touched surfaces every 30 minutes, multi-use items after each use and tables and chairs after each party
