Lenape Middle School Staffer Tests Positive For Coronavirus

DOYLESTOWN, PA — A Lenape Middle School staff member has tested positive for COVID-19, Central Bucks officials said Wednesday.

The staff member followed the guidelines in the district’s health and safety plan, reported the necessary information to the Central Bucks School District, and is currently self-quarantined for the appropriate number of days, Superintendent John Kopicki said in a message to the school community.

Central Bucks School District officials said the case was immediately reported to the Bucks County Department of Health. All students and staff members who came into close personal contact with the staff member have been notified, according to the district.

The Bucks County Department of Health will now conduct a contact tracing process.

Central Bucks students are currently in virtual learning, with plans for some in-person instruction to resume later this month.
