Lenawee County Association of Realtors conducts annual awards program

ADRIAN — The Lenawee County Association of Realtors honored some of its members in January for their achievements in real estate work throughout Lenawee County during the association’s annual Realtor awards program at the Hills of Lenawee Golf Club and Banquet Center.

Janis Montalvo was presented with the Premier Bank Good Neighbor Award. The award recognizes a Realtor who has made notable impacts on local nonprofits and their community through the commitment of personal time and contributions to the organization, a news release from the LCAR said. The award recipient’s charity is given a $1,000 grant in their name, which was presented by Montalvo to Lenawee Cares during the LCAR’s general membership meeting Thursday at the Christian Family Centre in Adrian, the release said.

Montalvo is a listing agent, broker and owner of Living in Lenawee Realty in Tecumseh. She also volunteers with many local organizations and is the campaign chair for the annual Lenawee Cares campaign, which is a fundraising arm of the Lenawee Community Foundation.

LCAR also presented five realty offices with the GreenStone Farm Credit Service Office Excellence Award during the January awards event. The Office Excellence Award is presented to offices that show outstanding commitment to the LCAR, the Lenawee County community and the real estate industry, the release said. Recipients of the award for this year were Foundation Realty — Adrian, Howard Hanna Real Estate — Adrian, Howard Hannah Real Estate — Tecumseh, Living in Lenawee Realty and XSell Realty.

The final awards handed out in January were the TLC Community Credit Union Milestone Awards, which are given to Realtors based on their years of service to the LCAR, the release said. Notable milestone achievements went to emeritus members Pam Poling, 45 years; Glenna Stroud, 46 years; Jim VanEtten, 47 years; and Carl Poling, 52 years.

The LCAR is composed of more than 250 real estate agents and affiliates and is a member of the Michigan Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.
