For Lent, a list of fish fry events at Tampa Bay churches and restaurant specials

Here’s a list of fish fry events at local churches, and fish specials at Tampa Bay restaurants, if you’re giving up meat for Lent. Lent ends with Easter, which is on March 31 this year.

Churches

Holy Family Catholic Church: The Boy Scouts of America will hold a fish dinner consisting of baked or fried fish, green beans or french fries, coleslaw and hushpuppies ($12). St. Raphael Catholic Parish: The Knights of Columbus and the Council of Catholic Women will serve up a mahi mahi dinner in choice of baked, fried or spicy. It comes with choice of two sides and corn bread. Sides include mac and cheese, fries, green beans and coleslaw. St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church: The Knights of Columbus and the Columbiettes will once again hold the two-time Spirit FM World Fish Fry Tour award-winning Lenten fish fry. It includes a fish and shrimp combo ($14, $10 child), fish or shrimp ($12, $8 child), mac and cheese ($9, $7 child), New England clam chowder ($5) and shrimp Caesar salad ($7). Incarnation Catholic Church: The Incarnation Council of Catholic Women is holding a dinner of fried fish or shrimp, coleslaw, French fries, roll and dessert ($15, $8 ages 6 and younger). Our Lady of Lourdes Parish: Faith Formation is holding a tilapia fish fry with coleslaw, fries and hushpuppies ($13, $5 children). A no-meat meal is also available.
