Leon County to host neighborhood dinners to learn more about food insecurity

County groups will host a series of dinners Tuesday through June 2 to hear from residents about how food insecurity is affecting their communities.

The series, called Breaking Bread Together, will provide dinner to community residents in neighborhoods with the highest levels of food insecurity in the county. Childcare will also be available at the event.

“Food insecurity is a growing problem that threatens many of our most vulnerable families and children,” said Leon County Commission Chairman Bill Proctor. “No one should be left wondering where their next meal will come from."
