Leslie Jones Unloads on the Alabama Senators Who Voted to Criminalize Abortion

This week, Alabama essentially banned all abortion in the state and passed a law that would jail doctors who performed it for at least as long as rapists. It's part of a country-wide, multi-state effort to overturn Roe v. Wade and pave the way for states to criminalize abortion. And, unsurprisingly, all of the Alabama state senator who voted in favor of the ban were men.

This wasn't lost on SNL cast member Leslie Jones, who on "Weekend Update" said the state senate looked like "a casting call for a Lipitor commercial" or "the mug shots of everyone arrested at a massage parlor." Jones' bit this week was understandably blunt and angry, and she ended with a serious note:

"Look, the fact that nine states are doing this means this really is a war on women. And if you're a woman out there and you feel scared or confused, just know that you're not alone. There's so many women out there who've got your back, especially me, Leslie Dracarys That Bitch Jones. You can't tell me what to do with my body. You can't make me small or put me in a box. I'm six feet tall and 233 pounds. Ain't no box big enough to hold me. And I know, cause one time I tried to mail myself to a dude."
