Less than 10% of rentals in Bloomington are under $1,000 a month. Here's a few of them.

As the cost of living continues to climb around Bloomington, many are left struggling to pay rent.

According to recent data from rent.com, only 2% of rentals in Bloomington are under $700 a month, and only 9% are under $1,000 a month. In addition to the difficulty of finding an affordable place to live, looking for rentals can be a time suck.

Here is a list of apartments in Bloomington with units under $1,000 a month, some of which have units available now:

Millennium Apartments

Located at 1200 S. Rolling Ridge Way, Millennium Apartments has units ranging from one to three bedrooms. According to its website, rent for 1-bedroom units ranges from $820 to $920 a month, and some 2-bedroom units are $995 a month.

Water, sewer and trash are included in the rent, pets are allowed and the complex has 24-hour access to computers. As of last week , several one-bedroom units are available in August and September.

Hazel Briar Court

At 3100 S. Walnut St. Pike, Hazel Briar Court Apartments has two-bedroom units that range from $925 to $950 a month. The apartment website allows visitors to enter a potential move-in date to check for availability. As of last week, several units were available for August.

Reserve at Chandler’s Glen

At 1320 N. Arlington Park Drive, the apartments at Reserve at Chandler's Glen have income limits, which are listed on its website, and accept public housing authority vouchers. Two-bedroom units start at $724, and there are also one-bedroom units.

Water, sewer and trash are included in the rent. Pets are allowed, but there are breed restrictions. A list of frequently asked questions is located on the apartment website. Those interested are encouraged to call for availability.

Bloom Apartments

At 1051 S. Adams St., Bloom Apartments have one-bedroom and two-bedroom units. One-bedroom units are $995, and two-bedroom units are $1,150. Water, sewer and trash are included in rent, pets are allowed and units are furnished.

Basswood Apartments

At 1000 S. Basswood Circle, Basswood Apartments have one-bedroom and two-bedroom units. One-bedroom units are $800 a month, and two-bedroom units are $900 to $925 a month. Water, sewer and trash are included in rent, and pets under 45 pounds are allowed.

Woodland Springs

At 3111 S Leonard Springs Road, Woodland Springs has one-bedroom, two-bedroom and three-bedroom units. Water, sewer and trash are included, and pets are allowed. One-bedroom units are $750 a month, and two-bedroom units are $850 a month, according to its website. As of last week, two 2-bedroom units were available for move-in.

Hidden Hills at Oakdale

At 2201 S. Oakdale Drive, the apartments at Hidden Hills at Oakdale have two-bedroom, three-bedroom and four-bedroom units. Two-bedroom units are $965 a month. Those interested in renting are encouraged to contact the property for availability.

Union at Crescent

At 1100 N. Crescent Road, Union at Crescent has one-bedroom, two-bedroom and three-bedroom units. One-bedroom units are $775 to $900 a month, and two-bedroom units are $927 to $1,140 a month. As of last week, five one-bedroom units and four two-bedroom units were available for move-in, according to a listing on rent.com.

Kingston Manor

At 3200 E. Longview Ave., Kingston Manor has studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom units. Studio units start at $550 a month, one-bedroom units start at $600 a month and two-bedroom units start at $700 a month. As of last week, several units were available for move-in.

Cedarview Campus South

At 316 E. Second St., Cedarview Campus South has one-bedroom and two-bedroom units. One-bedroom units are $810 to $894 a month. As of last week, a one-bedroom unit is available July 22, according to rent.com.

Pet policy and parking varies by location. Water, sewer and internet are included in the rent. Cedarview Management has other rental locations throughout Bloomington.

Continental Terrace

At 3315 E. Longview Ave., Continental Terrace has two-bedroom units renting for around $745 a month. As of last week, a two-bedroom unit is available in October.

Pets are allowed and some utilities are included in the rent.

Summit Pointe Apartments

At 701 E. Summit View Place, Summit Pointe Apartments have one-bedroom and two-bedroom units. One-bedroom units start at $775 a month, and two-bedroom units start at $945 a month. As of last week, five units were available for move-in, according to a listing on rent.com.

Heritage Apartments

At 1600 E. Hillside Drive in Bloomington, Heritage Apartments has studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom and three-bedroom units. According to its website, studio units are $650 a month, one-bedroom units are $650 to $780 a month and two-bedroom units are $795 to $1,180 a month.

Water, sewer and trash are included in the rent and pets under 65 pounds are allowed. No units are currently available, according to the apartment website, but those interested in renting can leave a message with the main office.

Regency Court Apartments

At 1616 S. Henderson St. in Bloomington, Regency Court Apartments has units ranging from one to five bedrooms. One-bedroom units are $710 to $830 a month, and two-bedroom units are $880 to $1,180 a month.

Pets under 65 pounds are allowed. No units are currently available, according to the apartment website.

Hoosier Court Apartments

At 513 W. Gourley Pike, Hoosier Court Apartments has units with one, two and three bedrooms. One-bedroom units are $795 to $850 a month. No units are currently available, according to the apartment website.
