OK Charlotte, it’s time to get in formation. Beyoncé is bringing her Renaissance World Tour on Wednesday, Aug. 9, to Bank of America Stadium. What better way to celebrate than drinking a Beyoncé-themed cocktail?

Charlotte’s Beyhive is buzzing with excitement — the city is celebrating Queen Bey’s visit with pre- and post-concert parties, themed cocktails and dancing.

Don’t worry my stay-at-home folks, you can make your own craft cocktails at home, too. A few examples from the Bey-inspired menu at the Omni Hotel Atlanta are:

  • Alien Superstar: 1 oz Goldschlager, 1 oz Crown Apple, 0.5oz Sour Apple Pucker.

  • Church Girl: 1 oz Hennesy, 1oz Sorrel liqueur, 1 oz Peach Schnapps.

Wanna go out before the concert — or maybe stop by somewhere after you leave Bank of America Stadium? Here are some local spots where you can find Beyonce-themed cocktails:

Queen B at Graham St. Pub & Patio

Location: 400 S Graham St #4, Charlotte, NC 28202

When: Aug. 9, 11 a.m.- 2 a.m.

This rooftop neighborhood bar is hosting a Beyoncé-themed DJ starting at 4 p.m. and will open until 2 a.m. for a post-concert party. Graham St. Pub will have two Beyoncé-themed drinks so you can grab a few on your way to the stadium. (Did I mention it’s only a few minutes walk away, too?)

  • Naughty Girl: Wheatly vodka, lemonade, mint and a lemon garnish.

  • Queen B: Bulleit bourbon, lime juice, honey and ginger ale.

You-Neek at The Coterie Concept

Location: 222 West Blvd Suite S112, Charlotte, NC 28203

When: Aug. 9, 3-6 p.m.

Contests, swag bags, Beyoncé-inspired cocktails and giveaways? Sign me up for The Road to Renaissance experience at The Coterie Concept. The Coterie will serve:

  • You-Neek, a green apple cocktail with a pearlescent finish.

Wake up flawless, drink up flawless. The Dog House is hosting a Pre-Bee block party with fun, food and drinks. Request a Beyoncé-themed cocktail such as Beyoncé’s Lemonade or her favorite classic, Long Island Iced Tea.

Blue Ivy at Forty8Hundred

Location: 4800 Monroe Rd, Charlotte, NC 28205

When: Aug. 9, with doors open at 4 p.m. and party at 7 p.m.

In celebration of the Beyoncé concert, Forty8Hundred is hosting a Bey Night. You can expect to hear your favorite hits, sing karaoke and enjoy special Bey-Hive drinks. There will also be a contest for the best Beyoncé outfit and performance for a $200 prize. The entry fee is school supplies.

Drinks include:

  • Renaissance: Tequila, triple sec, lime juice and hibiscus syrup

Let’s get “Crazy in Love” with Beyoncé-themed cocktails along with drag performances and music at this neighborhood-favorite cocktail bar.

Lemonade at Resident Culture South End

When: Aug. 9, 4 p.m.-1 a.m.

Resident Culture South End is having a pre- and post-Beyoncé party with free lemonade and a Deep Eddy Vodka special for Queen Bey’s visit. There will also be dancing and a free Ride.Jaunt ride with goodies, as well.
