This site lets you find all the songs in your favorite movies

It’s relatively easy to find soundtracks or independent film scores nowadays, as long as you know exactly what you’re looking for. But there’s a new site that can help you find every song used in your favorite movies in an instant without having to dig around at all.

Called Sweet Soundtrack, the site is currently very popular on Reddit. According to its creators, SweetSoundtrack.com “is the spot where music and movie lovers unite.” The site contains song listings from thousands of movies. You can search by movie name and the site also offers alphabetical listings by movie titles or by artists. The chances are good that you’re going to find most of your favorite songs from a film with a few clicks, although the interface isn’t terribly polished right now.

You’ll quickly discover short descriptions for each movie as long as it’s included in the database, followed by a list of songs in its soundtrack. Clicking on a song will also tell you which other movies the same song was featured in, while clicking on an artist gives you a list of all of his or her songs that have appeared in movies.

Once you’ve settled on a song, you can buy it from Amazon or iTunes. Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be a way to download entire soundtracks, and you’d instead have to go song by song. Of course, as soon as you’ve discovered the soundtrack/movie combo you were looking for, you can always use Spotify or Apple Music to listen to the entire thing.
