Letter: Deerfield Twp. Planning Commission supports Martis for Lenawee County commissioner

We are writing because we are quickly approaching primary election time and we would like to voice our support and recognition for Kevon Martis, Republican candidate for county commissioner District 7.

Kevon Martis has been helpful to Deerfield Township in multiple ways. Kevon, through his role as zoning administrator, has been instrumental in Deerfield Township’s ability to preserve prime agricultural lands continuing the generational traditions that are cemented in rural Deerfield Township. Kevon has taken on a large workload in his role as zoning administrator amassing countless hours in pouring through paperwork and communicating with Deerfield Township residents and, yet, still donated his salary back to the Deerfield Township Fire Department. Kevon has demonstrated on numerous occasions that, as a commissioner, he would have District 7 residents' desires at the forefront of his mind. Kevon will be transparent with his constituents, keep clear lines of communication open, and responsibly apply his vote to best use the residents' tax dollars.

For the reasons that are described above we would ask you to vote for Kevon Martis as your county commissioner in District 7. The residents of District 7 deserve a fair, ethical, hard-working and logical county commissioner; Kevon Martis is that candidate.

Sincerely,

Conrad MacBeth, Deerfield Township Planning Commission chairman; Rich VanHove, Deerfield Township Planning Commission vice chair; Steve Andrix, Deerfield Township Planning Commission secretary; Roger Johnson, Deerfield Township Planning Commission member; and Dan Witt, Deerfield Township Planning Commission member
