Letter to the Editor: Disappointed in newspaper

It is very disappointing to experience our local newspaper on its death bed fading away, and the terrible loss to the community. Since you are very short-staffed, it is very difficult for you to cover the local news; however, with a phone call to the police department you could get the daily police call log that would inform your readers of the local crime, where and what type of crime is occurring. Also in the past, you have published a copy of the ballot for upcoming elections, which has been discontinued.

Having said the above, I'm sure all of the decisions regarding the operation of the EE are made by the out of state corporate owners and you are left carrying them out and suffering the fallout of those decisions.

I mention this in passing, we have been subscribers for 50 years and are considering our subscription. If we decide to do so, we will cancel your draft to our checking account.
