Letter to the editor: Greater Canton Amateur Sports Hall of Fame has declined

I visited the Greater Canton Amateur Sports Hall of Fame about 20 years ago. It was very nice. I revisited it a few weeks ago, and I was thoroughly disappointed how much it has changed for the worse.

My father, Albert Alexander, is in many Fumbleball Hall of Fame pictures. The display cases are poorly lit, dusty, and crammed in with stacks of chairs and tables and cleaning supplies. The place looks like no one cares. This "museum" looks like a storage room in someone's dark, dirty basement.

I think it is very disrespectful to all of Canton's finest athletes in football, baseball, basketball, bowling, swimming, etc. Come on, Canton, we can do better than this. Show some respect for Canton's finest athletes. Let's not forget them.
