LETTER: God does not rationalize abortion as do pro-choicers

Editor, Register-Mail: We pray that the Supreme Court will soon vote pro-life in their decision regarding the Dobbs vs. Jackson Women's Health case which deals with the constitutionality of a 2018 Mississippi state law that banned abortion after 15 weeks of pregnancy.

America has too many people with hardened hearts and closed minds who consider Christian evangelical pro-lifers as narrow-minded cretins. On the other hand, there are too many "Christians" who give what they consider their "weekly due" on Sundays and wallow in a secular worldview the rest of the week by supporting a woman's "choice." Those who would berate, harshly, I might add, pro-lifers who have a deep faith in Christ show their true secular colors. In a word (or two), they are pseudo-intellectual "cretins."

Pity those who have sight yet refuse to see or those with ears but refuse to listen. Life is precious. Secular society has fallen into a state of depravity as we offer our children to the idol of "choice." God values every life which includes those being formed in the womb. He hates the shedding of innocent blood. Scripture says that we were formed in the womb and we were wove by God. We are wonderfully made and we are precious in his sight. Pro-choicers may rationalize abortion under any circumstance but God does not. Abortion cannot be justified with very few exceptions where the life of the mother is in eminent jeopardy.

Side note: Tolerance is an admirable trait, however, tolerance of sin is not. God is very intolerant of unrepentant sin. Abortion as a convenience is a sin. Some people are obsessed with being tolerant even when it is wrong. Some even tolerate a president who claims to be Christian, a 'devout' Catholic, yet he tolerates the shedding of innocent blood in the womb right up to the birthing process. For shame! That goes for all of you 'tolerant' people. — Thomas Mosher, Victoria
