Our senator, John Cornyn, is now working with Democrats on gun safety measures. Sen. Cornyn has been a strong defender of the NRA and the Second Amendment right to own and use the AR-15 assault rifle. He believes our rights to an assault weapon are more important than the lives of a few Hispanic children in Uvalde, Texas, or a few Black lives in Buffalo, New York. I suspect that Sen. Cornyn will limit the safety measures to increasing the safety of our schools and to collect DNA from the students so they can be identified after being hit by an AR-15 bullet.

I used the M-16 (AR-15) in Vietnam, and it was a great weapon to do the job it was designed for, which was to kill people. However, as a hunting weapon, the shock from bullet tends to ruin the meat.

Please contact Sen. Cornyn at his DC office and let him know which is more important to you, a human life or an AR-15.
