Letter: Help stop abortion

Hello. My name is Richard T. Stansberry, and I am a 15-year-old boy. I don't really know what to say, so I'll just let the Lord lead.

I strongly disagree with abortion. In Exodus 20:13, it clearly states, "Thou shalt not kill." Deuteronomy 5:17 says, "Thou shalt not kill." Jeremiah 1:5 says, "Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou comest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations." Matthew 19:18 says, "He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness." Matthew 5:21 says, "Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the Judgment."

The Bible is the only book inspired by God. 2 Timothy 3:16 says, "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof for correction, for instruction in righteousness."

The Bible has a lot of great verses that speak against abortion. Abortion is wicked. You think abortion is "good," but it is not. What if that infant was you, then you would think otherwise.

God has a purpose in life, and when you kill it you're stopping it from serving the Lord.

I'm from Berean Baptist Church in Adrian. I'm just a 15-year-old boy; don't you think if a young boy has enough courage, don't you think he should be heard? So, please, reconsider this abortion act. Thank you!

Richard T. Stansberry
