Letter: Impressed with police, fire personnel

It wasn’t until I became the Raisin Township supervisor did I truly realize what awesome men and women we have serving on the Raisin Township Police Department and Raisin Township Fire Department.

Now that I am at the township every day, I get to see the amazing work that these dedicated public servants do each and every day. Can you imagine getting a call to go to someone’s home to do a lift assist and it turns into a cardiac arrest? Or arriving at a multiple car accident with various levels of injuries and possible deaths? Or being called out at night to deal with a suspicious person who is breaking into homes? Or pulling over someone with warrants and wondering how the interaction will go down? These are real events that our police and fire personnel deal with all the time. They do their jobs with professionalism and passionate care for all individuals involved.

I am so thankful for each of them. It is my hope that by sharing some of what they do, that you too will come to truly appreciate what you have at Raisin Township and the surrounding community. We are truly blessed!
