Letter: Nick Saban should run for Senate against Tommy Tuberville

Former Auburn University football coach Tommy Tuberville is currently a United States Senator from Alabama.

Might former University of Alabama football coach Nick Saban be interested in running eventually for election to the United States Senate from Alabama?

Suppose he ran against Tuberville the next time Tuberville is up for election? I think Saban would have a good chance, given Tuberville's controversial record of opposing the confirmation of high-level military officers, as if they were to blame for the policy paying for military members to have abortions in other states.

Saban might be more popular in Alabama than Tuberville, and his policies might be more consistent with the wishes of the people of Alabama. His political leadership might be at least as effective as that of the other former college football coach.
