To the Editor:

For the 11th year in a row, the grassroots effort known as the Oak Ridge Community Thanksgiving Dinner was a success. And though it was again modified for social distancing by means of a drive through, the love and joy shared was no less profound! We want to express our sincerest gratitude to all who contributed time, food and money to serve over 200 meals Thanksgiving Day at the Grove Theater.

We’d also like to thank our sponsors who helped make this day possible: High Places Community Church, Brysonn’s Closet, the Oak Ridge Ministerial Association, Buddy’s Bar-B-Q and Ham ‘n Goodys.

We look forward to doing community with you again in 2022 when, hopefully, we'll be able to return to the heart of what we do - ensuring that everyone has someone to give thanks with on Thanksgiving!

The coordinators of the 2021 Oak Ridge Community Thanksgiving Dinner.
