It is now or never. Ohio has to stop declining before it is too late. Since DeWine took office, Ohio has fallen when it comes to assisting Ohio’s most vulnerable families.

In 2019, DeWine signed into law the new abortion restrictions that took effect when the U.S. Supreme Court struck down Roe v Wade.

DeWine in his speeches, never addresses the fact SB-23 doesn’t make exceptions for victims of rape, people with disabilities or children who become pregnant. In fact, DeWine still hasn’t answered publicly if he supports the provision in the law that forced a 10-year-old rape victim to go out of state for an abortion.

The governor is yet to accept an invitation to a real debate. Ohio voters deserve to hear from both candidates. What is his problem? Is he afraid of his bad record?

I believe Mike DeWine, in signing the bill creating gerrymandered Congressional Districts, violated his campaign promise to fulfill the wishes of voters.

It is time for a change, Ohioans need a new governor, and the mayor of Dayton, Nan Whaley, is the perfect choice. Nan knows she can build a better Ohio. Nan is a leader and dedicated public servant. When it comes to women and family, Nan Whaley is a champion. Nan is a fighter against corrupt politicians.

Michigan has a woman governor who risked her life defending the right to vote. And don’t forget what the women of Kansas did. Why hasn't Ohio had a woman governor? The time is now.

My fellow Ohioans, this is a critical moment, a time when the anti-choice GOP is desperate to undo the progress we have worked so hard to make. We must elect a new governor in November, we must elect the mayor of Dayton, Nan Whaley.
