LETTER: West Beach Drive is an eyesore

I read J. Howard McBride’s letter (May 15, News Herald) about areas more in need of repaving.

One that I notice every day is the “disrepair” of West Beach Drive from the corner of Sixth Street and Beach Drive east to Harrison Avenue. This piece of road has been, and is, an eyesore to the city of Panama City. If our city commissioners want to highlight our city, this is a poor way to introduce our guests and citizens to “downtown.”

Those coming from the west to enjoy the new to be hotel/restaurant/marina along with the growth along Harrison Avenue will have to drive along some of the worse stretch of roads in Bay County. Thanks for the commission’s blind eyes and lack of forethought.
