Ignorance is not bliss when it comes to the environment

Petoskey, Michigan, is a quiet town, protected from environmental disasters. That said, ignorance is not bliss, and knowing what is occurring in places all over our state is essential. Environmental injustice is defined as the disproportionate exposure of people of color and poor communities to pollution.

Environmental injustice is and has been affecting cities in the southern region of our state, and just because we in northern Michigan are not heavily involved, we do need to be educated. Environmental injustices are disproportionately affecting people of color all over the U.S. and Michigan is no exception.

A majority of our southern cities are home to a large percentage of people of color and lower-class populations, and we are seeing the worst cases of environmental injustice in these areas. These injustices have and will continue to cause many negative effects on the health and well-being of the people living in the affected areas. It is important that people in every city in Michigan take the time to educate themselves on the true injustices that are taking place all around us. Ignorance is not bliss, we all have a voice and we need to use it to help protect the people of our state.

Looks like people really like being fooled

Abe Lincoln said, "You can fool some people all of the time," and Donald Trump and his enablers are sure proving it.

For years they've been pushing the Big Lie that the 2020 election was stolen (I guess by the millions of more citizens who voted for President Biden). Now they're constantly repeating "political witch hunt" about Trump's New York indictment.

And all they really care about is that gullible followers keep tossing cash into the donation bucket.
