Newsom should have given speech

Re: The Associated Press’ March 8 story, “Newsom won’t deliver State of the State speech”:

Gavin Newsom won’t give a traditional State of the State speech because he is dyslexic. Instead, he plans to do a statewide tour to highlight his goals. I’m sorry, as taxpayers of this state we have a right to hear in detail all at once, the actual state of California.

This is just a way for Gavin Newsom to tell a tale he’d like you to believe, rather than tell the actual truth of his failings as a Governor of California. Who’s actually going to go to attend this “tour?”

Get a bigger teleprompter, memorize what you want to say, but this should be televised for us to hear the actual state of California. This is nothing but smoke and mirrors.

Fox News shouldn’t be canceled

Re: Stuart Wing’s March 10 letter, “Revoke Fox’s broadcast license”:

The cancel culture is alive and well in Moorpark. Mr. Wing and others have apparently been offended by a more accurate video summary of the events of the “insurrection” on Jan. 6, 2021, presented by Tucker Carlson.

Now, after attacking Fox News for “lies and conspiracy theories,” Mr. Wing is hard at work to have the broadcast news license of Fox News canceled Considering the years of CNN, MSNBC, and others pushing the Russia collusion hoax and denial of the existence and validity of Hunter Biden’s laptop and the information it contains, I suggest that maybe those stations might be a more likely choice for cancellation.
