Bayer Leverkusen will be without World Cup champion Exequiel Palacios "for the time being" due to a muscle injury, the Bundesliga leaders said on Sunday.

The midfielder suffered the injury in Saturday's 3-2 win at RB Leipzig.

Meanwhile, defender Jeremie Frimpong was given the all clear to join team training. He was subbed off early in the match at Leipzig after a knock to his lower right leg.
