Lewis County COVID-19 Testing Site to Close in Two Weeks

Sep. 19—The COVID-19 testing site on Gold Street in Centralia will be closing on Sept. 30.

The site is the only one in Lewis County and is funded by the Washington Department of Health.

First established in the parking lot of the Lewis County Mall on Nov. 26, 2021, the site moved up the street closer to the Southwest Washington Fairgrounds earlier this summer.

Since its start, the site has administered over 12,000 tests and has been Lewis County Public Health & Social Services' primary method of tracking COVID in the area.

In the week of Sept. 2 to Sept. 8, there were 65 individuals tested there.
