Lexington man charged in murder of long-time girlfriend in March

A Lexington man has been charged with the murder of his long-time girlfriend in March.

According to information provided by the Davidson County Sheriff’s Department, on March 16 officers responded to Partridge Drive in Davidson County. Upon arrival law enforcement located a deceased female with an apparent gunshot wound to the face.

The victim was later identified as Lindsey Taylor Miller, 25, of Lexington.

After an extensive investigation, on Sept. 14 the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division charged Maxwell Joseph Grimes,32, with first-degree murder. According to law enforcement, Grimes had an 8-year relationship with Miller.

Grimes had his first court appearance on Sept. 19 in Superior Court in Lexington, NC and is currently being held in the Davidson County Jail with no bond.
