Lexington police searching for missing teen girl. Deputies ask for public’s help
Update: Currier was found safe.
A Gaston teenager left her grandfather’s house on June 26 and hasn’t been seen by her family since, according to police.
The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department is searching for 15-year-old Lilith Donelle Currier, who left her grandfather’s house on the 400 block of Irvin Jumper Street in Gaston.
Detectives believe 39-year-old Korraye Ford convinced Currier to leave her guardian, according to deputies. Sometime later he picked up the teen, Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon said.
“We’re not sure where they went from there or how long they were together,” he said.
Deputies arrested Ford on Wednesday. He is charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Currier was not with Ford when he was arrested, according to deputies.
“He [Ford] says he doesn’t know where she is [and] he’s refused to share any information about Lilith with us,” the department said in a statement.
Ford pleaded guilty to domestic violence in 2012 and 2018, court records show.
“We’re asking anyone with information about where Lilith might be to call Crimestoppers,” Koon said. “She wasn’t with Ford when we arrested him and he says he doesn’t know where she is. He’s refused to share any information about Lilith with us.”
