ROCHESTER — The Seacoast LGBT History Project is gearing up for their sixth annual show at RiverStones Custom Framing and The Franklin Gallery this August.

What social outlets and support were available to lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender individuals on the N.H. Seacoast through the decades? What was the first social group? What bars were available and where were they located? What groups are available now?  Come find out at the “Standing Together: Seacoast LGBT Social and Support Groups” exhibit at RiverStones Custom Framing.

“We are so excited to bring part of our Standing Together exhibit to Rochester for pride month” Tom Kaufhold, founder of the Seacoast LGBT History project, said.   “We will be able to reach a wider audience and include items never displayed in Rochester before.”

“I welcome the Seacoast LGBT History Project back for the sixth year and look forward to another wonderful exhibit” said Kris Ebbeson, proprietor of RiverStones Custom Framing and Franklin Gallery.  “Tom is so great to work with and I am always excited to offer my gallery space to display the artifacts from this very important project.

The opening reception for this exhibit will be Thursday, Aug. 4, from 5 to 7 p.m. at The Franklin Gallery located at RiverStones Custom Framing, 33 North Main St., Rochester.  The public is invited to attend and light refreshments will be served.

The exhibit will be up from Wednesday, Aug. 3 through Wednesday, Aug. 31 and free to view.  The Gallery is open Wednesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  There will be extended hours on Rochester’s Pride Day, Saturday, Aug. 27, when the gallery will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

PORTSMOUTH — Prescott Park Arts Festival in partnership with Cisco Brewers Portsmouth, the New England District of the Master Brewers Association of America (MBAA), and WHEB/ iHeartMedia announce the return of the craft beer festival on Oct. 8.

New Hampshire’s premiere event for craft brewers from throughout New England and beyond, the 14th Annual Brew Fest is a beer festival put on by brewers for beer fans. Brew Fest helps to support both an MBAA scholarship fund and the Prescott Park Arts Festival, a non-profit arts organization located along the banks of the picturesque Piscataqua River in downtown Portsmouth.

For just $50 per ticket, New Hampshire Brew Fest attendees receive a five ounce souvenir sampling cup to try beer samples from nearly 50 breweries, plus the event boasts a live DJ, games, and festivities. Tickets are now on sale for the highly anticipated event. Food is not included but is available for purchase. Brew Fest offers three types of admission; a VIP ticket with early access and commemorative Brew Fest drinkware, a General Admission ticket, and a special Designated Driver ticket for those that want to support their loved ones that love beer. Taps down will be at 4 p.m. and the event will end at 4:30 p.m.

New Hampshire Brew Fest offers a limited number of VIP tickets available for an hour-long private session that will feature limited edition brews, and a chance to meet with the brew masters from 12 to 1 p.m. Many of the distinct craft brews that are offered during the VIP Session will not be available for Session one and two. For the VIP ticket price of $65 (advance sale only), guests will gain entry to the exclusive VIP session plus the remainder of Brew Fest until 4:30 p.m.

So far the New Hampshire Brew Fest has secured participation from the following breweries; 603 Brewing Co., Able Ebenezer Brewing, Aeronaut Brewing Co., Chapel + Main Brewing, Cisco Brewers, Concord Craft Brewing, Corner Point Brewing, Exhibit A Brewing, Great North Aleworks, Greater Good, Halyard Brewing, Imperial Brew, Jack's Abby Brewing, Lamplighter Brewing Co., Lord Hobo Brewing, Lost Valley Brewing, Northwoods Brewing Co., Portsmouth Brewery, Rek'lis Brewing Co., Smuttynose Brewing, Some Brewing Co., Springdale Beer Company, Stoneface Brewing, Stowe Cider, Tributary Brewing, Trinken Brewing, Two Roads Brewing, UNH Brewing Program, Wachussett Brewing, Woodland Farms, Woodstock Inn Brewing, Wormtown Brewing, and Zero Gravity Craft Brewery.
