LGBTQIA+ Pride brings color and celebration to Rome

STORY: Waving rainbow flags and dancing through the streets in colorful outfits, the supporters of Italy's LGBTQ+ community celebrated pride month and asked for support for gender equality.

The vibrant and lively 25th edition of the Roma Pride parade featured decorated floats carrying DJs and dancers under the banner "Let's back to make noise", a tribute to a song by the late Italian singer and television presenter Raffaella Carra, who in her later years was adopted as an icon by the Gay Pride movement.
