LHS has four top 10 finishers at Pinedale Invitational

Jan. 20—The Laramie High Nordic skiing team had four top 10 finishers in the 5.5k freestyle race on the first day of the Holly Pinedale Invitational on Friday.

Jack Voos was the top finisher for the Plainsmen boys, taking fourth at 16 minutes, 20.88 seconds. He was followed by Gideon Moore in fifth at 16:27.64 and Flynn Arnold in ninth at 17:32.81.

Jackson Crain was 27th at 2:00.10, Sam Kaiser was 28th at 20:23.34, Nathan Schneider was 31st at 20:57.70, Niels Wiederholt was 35th at 21:42.85, Ezra Visser was 36th at 21:46.72 and Sawyer Layson was 41st at 22:36.42.

Eliza Fay led the LHS girls, finishing fifth at 19:19.25. Anna Kaiser was 18th at 22:29.65 and Zeren Homer was 24th at 23:42.24.

Melissa Bingham was 27th at 24:28.75, Annabelle Arnold was 28th at 24:45.50, Caroline Bredehoft was 32nd at 26:33.63, Julep Gray was 33rd at 26:41.00 and Colleen Sommerfeld was 35th at 28:21.20.

The Plainsmen will close out the weekend with a 7.5k classic race starting at 10 a.m. Saturday in Pinedale.
