May 26—Book sale June 2

The Libby Friends of the Library will have its next book sale from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, June 2 in the book sale room downstairs at the library.

There are several special features, including a selection of items for Father's Day and an assortment of books from popular authors to help you kick off your summer reading.

The adult hard cover and paperback fiction sections have also been newly re-stocked. Purchase of items is by donation, with all money received going to support programs for the library.

VFW senior commodities June 16

Senior commodities distribution will be from 10 a.m. to noon Friday, June 16 at the VFW Post 1548 on 114 West Second St.

All certifications must be current and new applications can be picked up Monday through Saturday at the VFW.

Women's golf league results

The Cabinet View Women's Golf League met May 24, playing a fun game of "shortest number of strokes to the green."

The winner in Group A was Barb Mee and Shirley Chase in Group B. The low gross winner in Group A was a tie between Barb Mee and Nancy Hull. Shirley Chase won low gross for Group B.

Low net winner in Group A was Pat Neils and Donna Havens in Group B. Nancy Hull had a birdie on No. 7.

All women are welcome to join us at 10 a.m. Wednesdays for a fun round of golf.

Men's league golf results

Here are the May 23 men's league results from Cabinet View Golf Club.

Advantage Seal & Stripe, Annie's Cleaning and Idaho each collected 16 team points while Timberline Auto had 14. Century 21 Summit Realty and Clearwater Montana Properties each had 12.

Individually, Reece Malyevac led the way with gross score of 39. Casey Felker, Jerry Mee and Rob Malyevac were each one stroke behind at 40.

Steve Lefever had the top net score at 31 with Patrick Casey scoring 33. Tyler Boswell, Patrick Holzer and Joe Martineau each carded 34s.
