Liberty North dominates Class 4 semifinal to maintain perfect season: State soccer scores
Liberty North left absolutely no doubt in its Missouri Class 4 girls soccer semifinal match against Kickapoo. And now the Eagles have the chance to finish their perfect season with a state championship.
Even without Ekaterina Theoharidis’ hat trick, Liberty North would’ve been in plenty fine shape on Friday. The Eagles won 8-0 in a semifinal match that was shortened due to the mercy rule.
Other goals came from Aubrey Seltman, Kylie Richardson, Megan Hinnenkamp, Lexi Whalen and Berkleigh Salmond, the last of whom scored to trigger the mercy rule. Theoharidis also had two assists.
Nerinx Hall (19-2-1) awaits the 21-0 Eagles, who will look to finish off their dream season at 7 p.m. on Saturday.
