The Library up for sale; Dover a magnet for foodie businesses

The week after the Fourth of July is often a quiet one with few planned events and continued vacation for many. Want to buy the Library Restaurant?

One of the original pillars of Portsmouth's restaurant heritage, The Library Restaurant is up for sale. In business for 47 years, this landmark is special to many local families as a place to celebrate and to businesses and organizations as a place to rub elbows. It's long been considered one of the best restaurants in town and a place to hold special community events. Now it's time for its current owner to retire and locals lament the Library's future, hoping the gilded lions that guard the landmark can ward off any changes.
