WOOSTER − Wayne Holmes Right to Life is looking for students in grades 10-12 to participate in its annual oratory contest.

Students give a five-to-seven-minute pre-written speech on a life issue (abortion, adoption, embryonic stem cell research, assisted suicide/euthanasia) from a pro-life perspective.

Cash prizes have been doubled this year by a special donor to $150 for first place, $100 for second place and $50 for third place. The contest is at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 22, at the Wayne County Public Library.

The first-place winner will have the opportunity to compete at the state level in May.

Those interested in competing should contact Carrie at WayneHolmesRTL@yahoo.com or 313-399-7775 for more details and to register.
