Life onboard a cruise ship with coronavirus: Captain announces passenger to be airlifted

Passenger Teresa Johnson shared this video of the captain making an announcement around 9:30 p.m. Friday that a passenger may need to be airlifted off the boat.

In a text to KCRA, Johnson said “Captain just gave an update.

“We are now 20 miles off SF shore to aid the coast guard in delivering supplies and possibly having a person who needs medical attention being airlifted off the ship. If they are airlifted, some cabins will be evacuated as per safety requirements. Where evacuees will temporarily go during evacuation was not stated.

“The Captain does not anticipate our disembarkation tomorrow but will keep us informed as more news is available.”
