For Life returned for its second season this week, following events based on the real-life story of Isaac Wright Jr, a man imprisoned for a crime he did not commit.

Nicholas Pinnock plays Isaac's fictional counterpart Aaron Wallace, a former club owner who was sent down for drug trafficking, even though the drugs in question were someone else's. Given a life sentence with no chance, Aaron became a lawyer to fight cases for his fellow inmates, with the hope that he could get his sentence overturned.

The real-life Isaac was eventually released, but will the same thing happen to Aaron in season 2 or beyond? Speaking exclusively to Digital Spy, Pinnock says it is a case of 'when' and not 'if', but his release doesn't necessarily mean that it will be the end of the show.

"Yes absolutely (we'll see Aaron released)," he said, "because even though Isaac got out of prison, the judicial system wasn't finished with him.

"They made things difficult for him getting his law licence, and then there was the adjustment of being back out in the real world that had its own story to tell. So yes, that is definitely on the cards."

For Life airs on ABC in the US, and on Sky Witness and NOW TV in the UK.
