LifeSouth urges blood donations ahead of Hurricane Ian
Blood donations are always necessary but as Hurricane Ian threatens Florida, LifeSouth issued a plea to the public to donate.

Officials report that blood supplies are low, and the storm will impact blood drives across Georgia, Florida and Alabama in the coming week.
LifeSouth is urging donors to give blood before the storm hits.
LifeSouth has patients at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Atlanta Medical Center, North Fulton Hospital, Habersham Medical Center, Spalding Regional Medical Center and Sylvan Grove Hospital, which rely on blood donations from healthy people.

All blood types are currently needed.
Donors will receive a wellness screen before giving blood, and a thank-you gift after.
