- [INAUDIBLE] New at five, those fierce winds are being blamed for taking down this light pole in Streeterville. The pole and traffic signal crashed to the sidewalk outside the Starbucks at Ontario and [INAUDIBLE]. No one was hurt. The pole snapped off right at its base, where you can clearly see signs of rust damage.

And that's not all. Check out this light pole dangling over the roadway, right now on the Northwest side. The partially snapped pole, causing traffic to be diverted near the Caldwell Woods Forest Preserve. That makes three city light poles, at least, that have toppled over this week alone, including this one that fell Monday at Adams and Wabash in the Loop.
