Rainy night with low temperatures on Sunday, flurries possible Monday morning

Make sure to have a warm raincoat and your umbrella handy because rain is expected through the evening with temperatures steady in the 40s. Rain will impact travel, watch for wet roads and reduced visibility could be possible in spots.

Winds will pick up later tonight and colder air will filter in behind this system for the start of the week. Leftover light rain showers or sprinkles late tonight may mix with flurries in spots into Monday morning before ending. No accumulation or impacts expected at this time.

Monday will be cloudy and cold, wind chills in the morning will be in the upper teens and low 20s and wind chills through the day will be in the 20s as temperatures remain steady in the mid 30s. The coldest wind chills are expected on Tuesday morning, temperatures will be in the low 20s, but wind chills will be between 10° - 14°. The best chance for snow showers this week will be on Tuesday. Lake effect snow showers should drop towards I-80 Tuesday morning, bringing scattered snow showers around Rt. 422 north including I-80 and east in the ridges may see a bit of snow as well. The bulk of the snow from this will stay north of our area but scattered snow showers and flurries are possible through the daytime. Slippery travel could be possible for Rt. 422 and areas north.
