‘Lightning tower’ or home for sale? See whimsical Texas estate leaving TikTok puzzled

A home with a mystical name has landed on the real estate market in the Lone Star State, and some folks on social media are a tad puzzled by it.

Hidden Paradise, an event venue that’s listed in Alvin, Texas, for $3 million, sits on 3.5 acres and stands out dramatically thanks to its engine red color. “Hidden,” the estate is not.

According to the listing on Realtor.com, the property consists of a three-bedroom, two-bathroom home, rental homes and a warehouse.

The venue consists of amazing amenities, such as:

  • Swimming pool

  • Pond with a bridge

  • Waterfalls

  • Water features

  • Gazebo

  • Walking trails

  • Dance floor

  • Elevated seating

  • Restrooms

  • Garden

The property was featured on Zillowtastrophes, a popular TikTok page that highlights unique properties for sale, and its whimsical nature brought in a lot of mixed reactions.

“What is this bizarre tower and who or what is on top of it?” the page’s creator asks. She also points out other strange structures like “stairs that lead to nowhere,” missing parts of a man-made bridge, and so much more.

“That feels like a lightning tower to resurrect Frankenstien’s monster,” one person commented.

“It’s crazy but I kind of love it,” another said.

“Is it just me or do a lot of the pictures look like drawings then actual photos?” someone asked.

“Fever dream house,” one person joked.

Alvin is about 30 miles south of Houston.
