If you’re an avid beachgoer, then you know the importance of having some shade from the sun. But lugging a heavy tent along with chairs, towels and drinks isn’t always the easiest thing to do.
Neso Beach Tent with Sand Anchor
Neso Grande Beach Tent
Neso Gigante Beach Tent
I’ve spent every summer of my life at the beach, so that means my family and I have tried almost every brand of umbrellas, tarps and beach tents out there. But it wasn’t until a recent trip that we spotted the Neso Tent — we instantly knew we needed to do away with our older, clunky tents and upgrade.
The Neso Tent caught our eye for a few reasons, but mainly because it was so easy to set up and take down. Instead of being a big metal contraption with stakes, Neso Tents are basically just a canopy with bags at the end and two poles. To set it up, you simply lay the tent flat, fill the bags up with sand from the beach, and then pull the bags as far apart as you can to make an “X” and get the fabric taut. After that, just extend the poles and place them about a foot from the corners – that’s it.
The sand anchors keep the tent from being blown away, and the canopy applies enough pressure on the poles to keep them upright. To take the tent down simply lower the poles, empty the sandbags and fold it up. Neso Tents come in three different sizes and weigh between 4 lb and 10 lb, making them light enough to add to a beach bag.
Naturally, the tents work to keep you cool and shaded, but they’re also made to last thanks to the durable nylon and lycra blend of the canopy and rust-proof aluminum poles. Plus, the canopy has UPF 50+ protection and is water-resistant. Even The Skin Cancer Foundation “recommends this product as an effective UV protectant.”
While Neso Tents are obviously perfect for the beach, they also are great for picnics, camping, watching sports games and more. All you need is some sand or some rocks to secure it.
