Lil Jon concert canceled as heavy rains hamper Taste of Fort Collins

Severe weather hampered Taste of Fort Collins over the weekend, ultimately causing the cancellation of Lil Jon's headlining performance Sunday night, according to an alert sent to festivalgoers around 8:30 p.m.
After a severe weather warning caused the festival to postpone activities for roughly two hours Saturday afternoon, heavy rain hit Fort Collins Sunday evening — leading to the evacuation of the festival around 6 p.m., according to its alert system.
Sunday brings heavy rain, flash flood warning
By roughly 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Fort Collins was put under a flash flood warning and up to 2.5 inches of rain was estimated to have fallen in the National Weather Service's warning area.
The warning will remain in effect until 10:30 p.m.

A Taste of Fort Collins alert sent out around 7:50 p.m. said the festival's gates were set to reopen at 8:15 p.m. for a postponed 8:30 p.m. show with Lil Jon. The rapper was initially supposed to headline Sunday's event at 6:45 p.m.
A final alert sent less than an hour later said the Lil Jon concert was canceled.
Will refunds be available?
No. Taste of Fort Collins is a rain or shine event, and no refunds will be given because of the temporary evacuation, according to its website. Festival organizer Townsquare Media also confirmed the festival's no refund policy to the Coloradoan following Sunday's concert cancellation.
The festival had sold out all of its tickets both Saturday and Sunday, according to its Facebook page.
