Lili Reinhart defended Meghan Markle against online bullies: “You need to check yourself”
Lili Reinhart hopped on the #WeLoveYouMeghan bandwagon, and we’re giving her a standing ovation. Reinhart joined the legion of Meghan Markle supporters on Twitter, agreeing that the video of Markle stating she’s not okay “breaks [her] heart.” The Riverdale actress then called out anyone who bullies women online and ordered them to “check yourself.”
On October 18th, a heartbreaking clip from an interview between the Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle and ITV’s Tom Bradby, from the recently-aired documentary Harry & Meghan: An African Journey, went live on Twitter. During her conversation with Bradby, Markle states that the constant negativity she’s received from the press has hurt her mental health.
Bradby asked the Duchess if she is okay, and Markle implied that she is not. She then stated, “Also thank you for asking because not many people have asked if I’m okay, but it’s a very real thing to be going through behind the scenes.”
Fearing for Markle’s mental wellbeing, Twitter users started the hashtag #WeLoveYouMeghan to show the duchess support during this troubling time in her life. And actress Lili Reinhart (who’s no stranger to a social media clapback) also shared her love and support for Markle and all women who have been attacked online or in the press.

Earlier this month, Prince Harry admonished the tabloid culture that he believes has bullied Markle with its often sexist and racist negative press.
