Lily-Rose Depp Is Allegedly Being Harassed by Johnny Depp Fans During His Defamation Trial

Actress Lily-Rose Depp is seemingly receiving attacks by fans of her father, Johnny Depp, who are unhappy with her lack of comments and public support for him during his ongoing defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard.

For a quick refresh on what is happening with Johnny and Amber, the two are currently locked in a fierce legal battle. The animosity between the exes began grounds for legal action after Amber Heard wrote an op-ed for the Washington Post back in 2018 that detailed her alleged experiences as a survivor of domestic and sexual abuse.

Even though she didn’t directly name her ex-husband Depp in the piece, Johnny and his legal team claimed there was a heavy implication that he was the abuser adding that the actor had lost out on movie deals as a direct result of the article.

Johnny has continuously denied ever being abusive toward Amber and filed a defamation lawsuit against her in response to the article. Since then, she has countersued for $100 million, claiming that Depp's former lawyer had defamed her by saying her accusations of abuse were a hoax according to The New York Times.

Since the extremely public trial began in Virginia on April 11, fans and media have been following every testimony and moment almost obsessively, hanging off of claims in court that Lily-Rose didn't attend Amber and Johnny's wedding and that Johnny had supposedly supplied his daughter with drugs in the past.

Lily-Rose has refrained from posting anything on her social media accounts since the trial began, but her previous posts have been the target of hate comments. Multiple Twitter users have noticed this alleged harassment, taking screenshots of Lily-Rose's IG post comment section, and sharing some of the negative messages that self-reported Johnny fans have left for the model whom Johnny shares with his ex-wife, French singer Vanessa Paradis.

Twitter user Ahmad posted a set of Lily-Rose's comment sections which appeared underneath one of the actress’s recent Instagram posts, captioning the tweet, “this is just insane.”

"Please support your father. Regardless of YOUR relationship with him you know that Amber is NOT THE VICTIM. Support him please, speak up!!!!" said one user, while other users questioned the lack of photos with her father Johnny on her social media platforms and blasted her with rude remarks.

This is not the first time that social media users have been called into question for inappropriate behavior regarding this trial. Recently, TikTokers created meme videos out of the domestic abuse allegations, turning snippets of audio from Amber's emotional testimonies into viral sounds for users to lip-sync to.

In the past, Lily-Rose has defended her father against Amber's allegations. According to Variety, after Heard first made the domestic abuse and sexual abuse accusations back in 2016, Lily-Rose posted a childhood photograph of her and her father, captioning the pic, “My dad is the sweetest most loving person I know. He’s been nothing but a wonderful father to my little brother and I, and everyone who knows him would say the same."

And while the trial remains a legal mess that only authorities can untangle, one thing is pretty clear:
