BLUFFTON, Ohio — The Bluffton University volleyball team welcomed back its fans with a three-set shellacking of Kenyon College on Wednesday. Bluffton was in front of its fans for the first time since 2019 and the Beaver faithful made their presence felt as the home team cut through the Ladies like a hot knife through butter.

Bluffton took set one with very little resistance as Kenyon dropped the opener by a 25-15 count. Set two was a 25-18 Beaver victory and the capper was a 25-14 drubbing that saw the fans out the door in less than 1:20!

Junior All-HCAC performer Kaylie Campbell (Camden/Preble Shawnee) picked off where she left off in February, hitting a blistering .500 with eight kills against one error on just 14 swings. Sophomore Alysha Like (McComb) was on point with eight kills of her own and a .350 hitting percentage.

Freshman Emma George (Versailles) put down the hammer seven times in her first collegiate match and Kelly Armentrout (Lima/Shawnee) added six winners for the home team.

Junior Maddie White (Ashland) did her part with 26 assists and eight digs. Brooke Kleman (Glandorf/Ottawa-Glandorf) cleaned it up in the back with 17 digs and she also dished out six helpers. George and Like were both in on two blocks, while senior Becky Siemer (Liberty Township/Lakota East) and White stuffed the Ladies on point 25 of the clinching set!

Kleman rifled three aces for the Beavers, with George, who earned the Beaver faithful an iced coffee from McDonald's, and Courtney Weekley (Butler/Clear Fork) both firing a pair of darts!
