My order: I had the Grilled Atlantic Salmon Salad ($15.99), a filet of salmon served on a bed of greens, with tomatoes, bell pepper rings, cucumber slices, asparagus stalks, broccoli florets and olives. The salad was fresh and crisp, but the star of the show was the perfectly grilled blackened salmon. I also had a bowl of minestrone — a permanent menu item — that included veggies, Italian sausage, butter beans and parmesan. Although it’s basically a vegetable soup, it had a deeply rich, meaty flavor that explained why it’s a popular offering. A cup is $5.50 and a bowl is $5.99.

Likes: Lime Street is a dark and cozy place to dine, a good spot for a long, leisurely visit with friends, perhaps over a cocktail. Dinner, plus live music, is offered on the weekends.

Dislikes: None

What would I order next time? I might try a shrimp horseshoe or one of the pastas.
